New School District Training
If this is your school districts first year with our service, this class is for you.
9am – 12pm
In this class, we will customize the site to meet your districts needs. You will learn many of the basic features of your website, as well as how to add your teachers and staff. Please bring your District Calendar, Teacher Names and positions they teach, and a CD or Flash Drive with Teacher pictures and pictures of your school buildings, mascots, Athletics groups, etc. You will also learn how to move data from your existing website to your new site to prepare it before it goes live on July 1, 2013.
New and Existing School District Training
12:30pm - 4pm
In this class, you will learn about the advanced features of our website. The focus will be to make your site more visibly appealing and more content rich. We will demonstrate the new features that have been added since last year. You will learn how to use District Directories, page stacks, multiple sidebars, quick links, lesson plans, online forms, podcasts, videos, and audio to your website. We will discuss building online stores and how to collect money via PayPal or PaySchool from your website. Also, we will discuss items on your website that need to be cleaned up from the previous year in order to get it ready for the new school year. In addition we will explain some of the techniques we have found that work well to improve parental involvement by using your online resources.
It is recommend that new schools attend both the morning and afternoon sessions.
Lunch will be provided at no cost.
